Spanish Oaks is located just west of Austin within the Lake Travis area on 1,200 acres of gated luxury living in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. The homes in the area are designed to capture views of the countryside with architectural styles ranging from Mediterranean villas and garden homes to Farmhouse styles with transitional modern interiors. The Spanish Oaks Country Club features what Golf Digest calls one of the finest courses in Texas. The neighborhood includes a range of amenities with ATA tennis facilities, a privately stocked fishing pond dubbed “Fish Camp,” a swimming pool, sports facility with indoor and outdoor courts. Residents have access to numerous outdoor activities with shopping at the Hill Country Galleria and award-winning Lake Travis ISD schools.
Hamilton Pool Preserve was designated a nature preserve by the Travis County Commissioner's Court in 1990. Located 3/4 mile upstream from its confluence with the Pedernales River, Hamilton Creek spills out over limestone outcroppings to create a 50-foot waterfall as it plunges into the head of a steep box canyon. The waterfall never completely dries up, but in dry times it does slow to a trickle. However, the pool's water level stays pretty constant, even during periods of drought.
